These terms apply to your use of officeauto.com.au and to the free reviews, site visits and quotes we provide. They are issued by Office Automation Mackay Pty Ltd (ABN 68 050 521 358) ("Office Automation", "we", "us", "our"), 29 Peel Street, Mackay QLD 4740.
1. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. Our goods and services come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded. Where these terms are inconsistent with those rights, those rights apply.
2. Signed agreements come first
If you accept a quote, sign a service agreement or enter into a lease or other contract for our goods or services, the terms of that document govern that supply. If anything in these website terms is inconsistent with a signed agreement, the signed agreement applies.
3. Information on our website
We aim to keep the information on our website accurate and up to date. It is general information about our services and the equipment we supply. Product features and specifications come from the manufacturers and can change. We confirm what is right for your office, and what it costs, in a written quote.
We do not publish prices on our website, except the Black Friday offers in section 5A. Every office is different, so we price each job in a written quote.
4. Free reviews and site visits
Our bill reviews, agreement reviews and site assessments are free and come with no obligation. You do not have to accept our quote, and you keep the written quote either way.
To prepare a review, we may ask you to share a bill, invoice or agreement. Only share what you are comfortable sharing. We handle it in line with our Privacy Policy.
Visits are arranged with you during business hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm. A preferred day you select on our website is a request. We will contact you to confirm a time.
5. Quotes
- Quotes are provided in writing and are valid for 30 days unless the quote says otherwise.
- A quote sets out the equipment, the work and the costs that apply. Prices on a quote include or exclude GST as stated on the quote.
- A quote becomes a contract only when you accept it and we confirm the order. If something material changes before then, such as the site conditions or the equipment you need, we will tell you and give you an updated quote before any work proceeds.
- We will not change the price of an accepted quote without your agreement.
5A. Black Friday offers (November 2026)
These offers apply to agreements signed from 2 to 30 November 2026, for business customers only. Prices are in Australian dollars and exclude GST.
Phone systems: if you sign an agreement for a new phone system from 2 to 30 November 2026, the first month of your phone plan is free ($35 per extension). Handsets and installation are not part of the offer and are quoted separately.
Copiers: if you sign a new copier agreement from 2 to 30 November 2026, we set up the copier on your network and set up scan to email free of charge, up to 1 hour of work, valued at $150 ex GST.
Agreements signed before 2 November 2026 or after 30 November 2026 are not included.
6. Buying, leasing and service agreements
- You can buy equipment outright or lease it over a set term. A lease is a separate contract with a finance provider, on that provider's terms. We will explain the options before you decide.
- Our copier and printer service agreements cover toner, parts and labour, as set out in the agreement. Paper, staples and changes to your IT network are not included unless the agreement says otherwise.
- For phone systems, we move your existing numbers across as part of the installation. Moving a number depends on the current carrier releasing it, and we keep you informed if there is a delay.
- We supply business internet services using Aussie Broadband business plans. The details of each plan, including priority fault repair where it applies, are set out in your quote and plan documents.
- If your project needs new data cabling, it is quoted and carried out by our related company Mackay Communications.
7. Contacting us and response times
We usually respond to enquiries made through our website the same business day. Messages received outside business hours or on public holidays are answered on the next business day.
8. Using our website
You may use our website for your own information and to contact us. Please do not:
- use it for any unlawful purpose;
- try to interfere with its operation or security;
- submit information that is false or that belongs to someone else without their permission.
9. Intellectual property
The content of our website, including text, design and our logo, belongs to us or to the people who licensed it to us. Product names and brands belong to their owners. You may view and print pages for your own use. Please ask us before copying or republishing our content.
10. Links to other websites
Our website may link to other websites, such as manufacturers or review platforms. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
11. Our liability
Subject to section 1, we are responsible for loss caused by our own negligence or breach of these terms that was reasonably foreseeable.
Where the law allows us to limit our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee for goods or services that are not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use, our liability is limited, at our option, to repairing or replacing the goods or supplying equivalent goods, or supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
12. Privacy
We handle personal information in line with our Privacy Policy, available on our website.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these website terms from time to time. The version on our website applies to your use of the website from the date it is published. Changes do not affect a quote you have already received or an agreement you have already signed.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
